The Control Pane lets you select how data is to be logged.

Time Stamp lets you specify a time stamp on each record.

Rel gives relative time, which means the time in seconds since logging started. The timer is reset when the program starts, when the program connects to a board, when you clear the log file or when you select a different log file name.

Abs gives absolute time, meaning the time of day.

D/T Gives date and time (not illustrated)

Clr log clears the log file and resets the relative timer. The blue indicator next to this button flashes each time a record is written to disk.

Scan Time (mS) lets you set the frequency at which SPLogger will extract data from the SPLat board. You cannot set this to less than 250mS. The maximum allowable value is 86400000mS, which is 1 day. Note that inevitable errors in Windows timing will lead to some error in the scan time. Typically scan time will be slightly longer (15mS or so) than what you set.

If you are using triggering in the SPLat board (setting up for a change in a RAM location to trigger logging), the data actually logged will be from the scan immediately following the trigger event in the board.

Run/Pause. Clicking the Run/Pause button (its caption changes with its state) starts and stops logging. Logging is also stopped when you change logging parameters, and must be manually resumed.
