SPLat Controls have been exclusively making all the electronic controls for HydroCo, and for previous companies run by its founder, since the mid-80’s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n HydroCo elect to have SPLat do all the controller programming and to assist with product integration. The HydroCo R1 hydrotherapy tub is the most recent product from HydroCo. Its elaborate control system includes 6 zones of water jets, air jets and a hand wand. 8 levels of water level detection prevent accidents from running jets with too little water in the tub. The tub features automatic chemical sanitisation and injection of therapeutic mud, and has a SPLat designed custom LED based coloured lighting system to promote client relaxation. The main controller is a custom SPLat controller designed specifically for HydroCo. The tub’s therapy programs are governed by a domain-specific scripting language which is executed by the SPLat virtual machine, allowing special requests to be accommodated with ease. The operator interface was implemented using a pre-release a SPLat HMI430 controller with colour touch screen, which takes care of all GUI and user interaction functions. The HMI430 allowed professionally designed graphics to easily be incorporated into the display functions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n HydroCo is an example of a relatively small company that has effectively leveraged SPLat Controls’ innovative control systems and concept-to-production support to bring to market a range of world class products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
