This serves to differentiate it from the programming tools (software) and the board&#8217;s underlying &#8216;operating system&#8217; program (<a href=\"https:\/\/webprojects.cloud\/wordpress\/splatco\/knowledgebase\/glossary-of-terms#o370\">Firmware<\/a>)<br><br>The SPLatWare is treated as a separate issue to the hardware. This leaves the flexibility for you to do your own if you wish, for us to do it (under a separate programming contract), or for some hybrid arrangement. A lot of customers like to have us do the initial version to get them going, and then take over themselves for any ongoing upgrades.
