With XPice we combine the hardware simplicity of SPiceX with the simple programming of I\/O points that are part of the main controller board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A XPice board is a simple shift-register based bulk I\/O expansion board. Most XPice boards are capable of being cascaded (daisy-chained), so you could have more than one hung off a SPLat controller. The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/webprojects.cloud\/wordpress\/splatco\/knowledgebase\/product-documentation\/product-documentation-expansion-boards\/xbio16-16-bidirectional-i-os\/\">XBIO16<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/webprojects.cloud\/wordpress\/splatco\/knowledgebase\/product-documentation\/product-documentation-expansion-boards\/hio16-8-high-power-relays-20a-1hp-and-8-isolated-inputs\/\">HIO16<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/webprojects.cloud\/wordpress\/splatco\/knowledgebase\/product-documentation\/product-documentation-expansion-boards\/xiro16-8-inputs-and-8-relay-outputs-5a\/\">XIRO16<\/a>\u00a0expansion boards are XPice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>XPice enabled controllers will automatically recognise XPice expansion boards when they are connected. They will also report themselves to SPLat\/PC with the expansion included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The controller will appear on the SPLat\/PC screen with the additional I\/O showing in the I\/O window, and the additional I\/O can be programmed with regular instructions like GoIfInOn, INPUT, ON, OFF etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>XPice permits plain vanilla digital I\/O expansion that is both economical and blends virtually seamlessly into the programming.
